Three of the best paying jobs in the United States involve the treatment of the body.
Physicians and surgeons have the highest median income in the land – more than $138,400 a year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Dentists come in second, and podiatrists are fifth - raking in an annual $107,560.
Not withstanding all the furor over CEO pay, chief executives rank only third on the government’s list, with a median annual income of $113,810.

Proximity to ovens sends salaries spiraling.
Cooks in fast-food restaurants, cafeteria workers, fast-food servers and waiters are four of the lowest-salaried jobs in the country.
The very lowest are casino dealers, with a median income of just $13,330 a year - less than what the average airline pilot pays in taxes.
Keep in mind that these statistics do not take into account tips in overall pay. Gratuities, of course, greatly supplement the earnings of
waiters and card dealers.
